Giant Printed Bird Dress & Project Atlas

Happy hump day, cuties! First off- hot damn I am so glad you guys liked my last post! I've decided I really like shopping in one giant haul. Purchasing things together helps me achieve a cohesive collection of mix and matchables :) I can't wait to share all the outfits I come up with. Maybe we do this every season? Okay!

Today I'm coming at you with another new type of post :) A mix of fashion and technology! As I've mentioned in previous posts, I am a University Recruiter for Microsoft. This fall, I'm going to be on the road to find the best and brightest at UCLA, UCSD, UC Irvine, the Claremont Colleges (what up, Mudd?) and Penn State. During the summer, kickass, super genius interns take over our campus working on an unfathomably wide array of products, from technologies that empower people with disabilities to giving Cortana her personality. It's a challenge to keep up with everything Microsoft is doing XD

In this post, I wanted to show off one of my favorite intern projects of the summer, Project Atlas! This project is a collection of adorable cubes, completely conceptualized by a team of 20ish interns. These cubes are curious about the world around them and are looking to their keepers (that'd be me and Niky for the week!) to take them on adventures. Our brick of sunshine is named Vladimir and we love him very much. We've taken him to the gym, out to lunch, around in the car... basically everywhere :) You can follow along with Vladimir's adventures here. Currently, his feed is filled with goofy selfie videos of me and Niky. Sorry not sorry. He likes it ;) I wish we could keep Vladimir forever! But we have to let him explore the world and make new friends. We'll be passing him on sometime this week, any takers?? Vladimir is supposed to stay within Microsoft, but if you are interested in applying for your own adventure companion, inquire here. If you want to learn more, I love this Microsoft Jobs Blog article featuring Project Atlas and its stellar team of interns. The video in the article is AMAZING. I love the part where they're physically putting the cubes together!

Alright, now the fashion part of the post. Okay, so real talk. Blogger achievement unlocked because there are fif-teen effing photos of me in this post. 15!!! It's my blog, I'll do what I want to. :D :D :D I don't know, guyz. Niky just took all of these awesome photos of me in this awesome bird dress and I just couldn't muster up the emotional energy to pick which ones so I decided to post them all. Also, y'all- this dress is $12. WUT. I will warn you though, it's seriously on the short side. As my cutie hallmate Jacklyn would say, it does not pass the fingertip test. But ya know, live your life and if today that involves a super colorful, slightly short dress with giant birds printed all over it, so be it!

That's all I got for you today, y'all. I've linked the exact dress plus a few other fun options at the end of the post. Happy tweeting :)
