Part of my holiday travels included a first time trip to the South to see my brother graduate from OTS at Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery, Alabama. I have absolutely LOVED my visit here, the folks are so friendly and their accents are so sweet and gentle. And oh boy, do they know how to dress! They certainly have style here, so I took some notes and picked up this neon trimmed cheetah dress and wore it for an afternoon of exploring downtown with my parents.
I was absolutely charmed by the city of Montgomery, birthplace of the civil rights movement. I loved that they preserved their history so well, including their beautiful buildings.
We hopped on the trolley at Union Station and had a blast getting a whirlwind history lesson from our driver. This is a snapshot from my window of one of my favorite churches. Didn't get the name, does anyone know?
Made it in the nick of time for the last tour at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. This was the only church that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. served as senior pastor. The sanctuary felt peaceful, but very powerful.
One of my favorite things to do in any capitol city is of course visit the capitol! I am a sucker for any capitol building that has a dome that I can look up to. Our tour even included some Christmas caroling :)
We also visited the Rosa Parks Museum & Library and it was one of the coolest walk throughs I have ever experienced. I am so happy with my first taste of the South, really can't wait to come back!
Until next time :)

Hair Magic with Jewel
Hi Friends :) Again, so sorry for the major lack of posting. Moving into the new apartment is going swell, almost got my closet set up (which is the most important part!) Picked out paint colors with Niky and Kasey and I can't wait to post photos after we get it done at the end of this month :) We have been getting ready for our vacation to Orlando, planning out all of our outfits! But one of our most important prep errands was getting our hair done. I took 6 inches off and Kasey had a touch up on her beautiful blonde. We discovered Jewel while in college (or rather she discovered us) and the rest has been history. She has done an amazing job with Kasey's golden locks. She gave me my first big girl hair cut (prior, I had just been going to beauty schools) and I trusted her with my virgin hair when I wanted to try my first color. If you are in the Seattle area and need a good stylist, please check Jewel out at the Redmond Town Center Regis Salon. She is so knowledgeable and friendly and FABULOUS.
AH! My hair was so crazy long. You know you need a haircut if you accidentally buckle it into the seatbelt.
My hair feels so fresh and light now! But my boyfriend told me he couldn't he even notice the difference! Lol, actually, nobody at work could tell either :)
Jewel and Kasey were really digging my school girl outfit today. And these shoes are comfy!
Hope your holiday errands are getting done without a hitch!

Rosichelli Design
So sorry for being MIA this last week. Kasey and I have been searching all over the East side for a new apartment and I'm happy to say that we just signed a lease on a beautiful three bedroom! Can't wait to share photos with you! Last Thursday I went to the Holiday Mix Sale of Rosichelli Design. My wonderful friend, Angela over at Live Hi Up tipped me off to the event. We had SO much fun going through their warehouse and taking notes for our new space :) Here's a few photos of some cool things that I particularly loved! Starting with this beautiful floor lamp comprised of three orbs.
I really liked this display. Manly decor is so interesting.
I wish all of these luggage pieces were for sale!!!
Found this in the bathroom. Would love to do a canvas print of my own.
Kasey was into these old school specs.
Such a random way to spend a Thursday evening. Get ready to see home decor inspiration posts on the blog! Hoping we can get our apartment ready in time for my birthday at the end of January!

Robin Hood
Hunter on hunter with some gold accents, can't go wrong! I had fun accessorizing this outfit, I kept on thinking, WWKD?! What would Kasey do? She's the queen of accessories! I apologize for the iPhone quality of this post and the last, I was being UBER lazy. Next week I'll be more diligent with the Canon!
Also please excuse the orange quality of my skin, that's what I get for using an iPhone instead of a real camera :P I'm also wearing these pretty cute nude colored polka dot nylons, but you can't see them! ALSO! I really like this dress, the texture is so flattering.
Nothing says Robin Hood more than an owl necklace and some major ombre!
Also, these were totally taken at the airport. Good times. Forecast says I'm bringing the rain to LA, hehe. Are you going to have the best weekend ever? HECK YES YOU ARE! First week of December, let's do this!

Cantaloupe
Revisiting my high school days and showing some spirit by wearing some orange and black. I love how hi-lo dresses look with boots! This pair is particularly interesting, it has a faux wooden wedge.
Kasey and I were having shenanigans in Forever 21 today and spotted this gorgeous mint jewel drop necklace! I thought it was a nice pop against my cantaloupe colored dress.
This dress has so much movement when I walk!
Only one more day to get through until the weekend! Going to LA again this weekend to see the boyfriend. Thank goodness for good deals on Virgin America!

Edgy Cupcake
First up today is this Calvin Klein coat I bought end of season last year at Nordstrom Rack for $30! This coat is amazing for wearing short sleeves in the winter time because it has these nifty built in sweater sleeves.
I was so cozy, I pretty much wore this around the office all day!
Paired this power blue peplum top with an a-line pleated pleather skirt. I've seen this shape on other blogs and decided to try! I think I'm a little top heavy for this look, but it was fun :)
Also, got these shoes at a deep discount (less than $10!) from Forever 21. Can't go wrong with a glitter stacked heel!
Happy Hump day, everyone! Can you believe that it's almost the weekend again already? HOORAY!

Disneyland Darlings
We went to the happiest place on earth for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! Although I was seriously on the struggle bus this last day, we looked adorable! I love and cherish my photos from Disneyland. The key to extra good photos is to coordinate your clothing as if you were going to take family photos. Complimentary colors and a bit of matching can go a long way. We're supposed to be Huey, Dewey & Louie!!!
I even color coordinated with Goofy! I think I found myself a new boyfriend :)
Can't wait to go to Disneyworld with these lovely ladies this Christmas! Already planning our outfit extravaganza!

Mintgiving
Two outfits in one day? Yes, I am THAT girl :P We were driving by Forever 21 and it was actually open! WHAT?! On Thanksgiving? Hopefully their employees were making extra. I'll actually be spending Black Friday at Disneyland instead of shopping (better trade off for sure). So it was fun to get myself a new T-gives outfit :) Really like this mint top and painted pastel print skirt together.
Kasey spotted this beautiful blue bejeweled necklace. I am IN LOVE.
One of my favorite hairbows added a nice girly detail into my outfit.
Can't wait to go stuff my face!! Happy OMNOMNOMMING, everyone!

Candy Stripes
Spending Thanksgiving in LA with friends and visited the Griffith Observatory today. I love it here, such an amazing lookout over LA. I also got my camera back in working order :) The weather is beautiful and it was so lovely to be able to wear something breezy and care free.
Orange, Mint, Pink, Puple! Such a fun palette of colors.
Love the V in the back of this dress. Makes this demure piece even more fun :)
Hoping you are all enjoying the holidays with loved ones. Thank you so much for reading!

Graphic Floral
As declared earlier, I am making more of a commitment to pants this winter! I absolutely adore pastels and this top and pants make a nice, relaxed pairing. This is a very unusual shape for me, as I do prefer to be cinched in at the waist, but I really like how this top is voluminous, but still holds it's shape.
This floral print is beautiful!
Accessorizing with a little lemon yellow and candy pink. I do not wear earrings often enough. I think it's because I feel like my hair will just cover them up! But these were too perfect and very easy to wear.

Orange You Glad?
Seattle started monsooning overnight which means these Hunters get another chance to prove their worth. I'm glad I went with sunshine yellow because I can pair these boots with any bright, contrasting color.
The back of this dress is so much fun. I've decided that turtlenecks are the secret to making ANYTHING work appropriate.
Living through the Seattle grey season can get a little dreary times, so I'll take any opportunity to brighten up my day with a cheery outfit. Heading to LA tomorrow though, so I got some real sunshine headed my way :)

Stacked Luggage
I am subscribed to a pretty epic roll on Bloglovin' and one of the posts I came across was an inspiration article about stacked luggage. I just tried to relocate the post and was unsuccessful :( But here's an adorable pinterest board with more inspiration photos!
Imagine my delight during one of my bin runs (what all the cool kids call Goodwill Outlet, located in the Seattle Industrial district) with my favorite lover Bianca (instagram: bonakablast) when we come across these beautiful luggage pieces!
The bins are AMAZING if you are into treasure hunting. Bianca and I try to go every Sunday when life doesn't get in the way! Clothing, shoes and accessories are sold BY THE POUND ($0.99/pound for clothing, $1.49/pound for shoes & accessories). I thought we would have to purchase the luggage by the pound, but it was actually only $1.99/piece! Talk about a major score!!
The two larges cases looked great with my vintage chest (that I also purchased at the bins!)I think I might actually try to travel with the smaller piece. I'll let you know how hauling that thing around an airport goes :)
Kasey and I are moving into a new apartment in the new year and these guys are coming with us! Can't wait to start pinteresting ideas and inspiration!
