Part of my holiday travels included a first time trip to the South to see my brother graduate from OTS at Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery, Alabama. I have absolutely LOVED my visit here, the folks are so friendly and their accents are so sweet and gentle. And oh boy, do they know how to dress! They certainly have style here, so I took some notes and picked up this neon trimmed cheetah dress and wore it for an afternoon of exploring downtown with my parents.
I was absolutely charmed by the city of Montgomery, birthplace of the civil rights movement. I loved that they preserved their history so well, including their beautiful buildings.
We hopped on the trolley at Union Station and had a blast getting a whirlwind history lesson from our driver. This is a snapshot from my window of one of my favorite churches. Didn't get the name, does anyone know?
Made it in the nick of time for the last tour at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. This was the only church that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. served as senior pastor. The sanctuary felt peaceful, but very powerful.
One of my favorite things to do in any capitol city is of course visit the capitol! I am a sucker for any capitol building that has a dome that I can look up to. Our tour even included some Christmas caroling :)
We also visited the Rosa Parks Museum & Library and it was one of the coolest walk throughs I have ever experienced. I am so happy with my first taste of the South, really can't wait to come back!
Until next time :)

Disneyland Darlings
We went to the happiest place on earth for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! Although I was seriously on the struggle bus this last day, we looked adorable! I love and cherish my photos from Disneyland. The key to extra good photos is to coordinate your clothing as if you were going to take family photos. Complimentary colors and a bit of matching can go a long way. We're supposed to be Huey, Dewey & Louie!!!
I even color coordinated with Goofy! I think I found myself a new boyfriend :)
Can't wait to go to Disneyworld with these lovely ladies this Christmas! Already planning our outfit extravaganza!

Graphic Floral
As declared earlier, I am making more of a commitment to pants this winter! I absolutely adore pastels and this top and pants make a nice, relaxed pairing. This is a very unusual shape for me, as I do prefer to be cinched in at the waist, but I really like how this top is voluminous, but still holds it's shape.
This floral print is beautiful!
Accessorizing with a little lemon yellow and candy pink. I do not wear earrings often enough. I think it's because I feel like my hair will just cover them up! But these were too perfect and very easy to wear.

Orange You Glad?
Seattle started monsooning overnight which means these Hunters get another chance to prove their worth. I'm glad I went with sunshine yellow because I can pair these boots with any bright, contrasting color.
The back of this dress is so much fun. I've decided that turtlenecks are the secret to making ANYTHING work appropriate.
Living through the Seattle grey season can get a little dreary times, so I'll take any opportunity to brighten up my day with a cheery outfit. Heading to LA tomorrow though, so I got some real sunshine headed my way :)
